Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Promotion Project
WASH uses the Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation approach to promote hygiene, sanitation and community management of water and sanitation facilities. This is in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Dagupan Chapter and Benguet Chapters.
Supplemental Feeding Program
The program seeks to lessen malnutrition incidence among children. This is implemented with the support of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development, Parents-Teachers Community Association and the Department of Education. The program includes supplemental feeding, mother’s class and monitoring of nutritional status of program beneficiaries.
Livelihood and Enterprise Development
SRPC aims to help members of the assisted communities develop a self-help attitude and improve self-employment capacities. They are given the opportunity to stand on their own while economic development in the locality becomes possible. The company is able to assist by providing innovative financial services, technical assistance and capacity-building, basic livelihood infrastructure support and linkages with concerned government and non-government institutions and market.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY PROGRAMS
GROW-A-TREE FOR THE SAN ROQUE WATERSHED (Support to the National Greening Program)
This project supports the objectives of the National Greening Program by adopting a 500-hectare portion of the San Roque watershed in five-year duration in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), NPC and San Roque Power Foundation Inc. (SRPFI). The project’s primary components include seedling production, socially-mobilized tree planting activities, plantation establishment and maintenance.
TREE LIBRARY PROJECT
The Project involves the conservation of indigenous, rare and endangered species of trees and medicinal plants, demonstrating the ecological attributes and values of natural plant communities that are endemic in the area. It is also aimed at supporting other ecological functions such as cushioning impacts of adverse climatic changes and promoting natural habitat for various forms of wildlife.
